We're Jonny and Yifei
We run Cloud Road Music, a small studio from New Zealand. We write custom music for games, films, videos and live events, with a group of composers and players we trust.
We started out taking briefs on Fiverr. Since then we've written 2,000+ tracks for clients in 70+ countries, from indie developers to exhibition designers.
Who you'll be talking to
Jonny Dyas
Jonny looks after production and mixing. He's worked on film scores in Los Angeles, plays jazz piano and has a soft spot for Bach.
Yifei Tang
Yifei runs the studio day to day. He's written for clients across China and beyond, including Tencent and NetEase, and plays traditional Chinese instruments.
A few we're proud of
A soundscape 600 metres up
With Clone Production we made a spatial soundscape for EQUILIBRIUM, an exhibition built around the tuned mass damper on the 125th floor of Shanghai Tower. It's one of the highest art spaces in the world.
The Mecha Parade
Qiyi Music asked us to write the music for the park's Mecha Parade. Have a look at the size of those floats.
The world's longest piano
It was built here in New Zealand. We met its designer and had a jam on it. It has a sound all of its own.
A 40-metre painting, set to music
Music for a digital exhibit of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" at the Vodafone Events Centre, shown on a canvas 40 metres wide.
